LocalFarmers.in is an initiative by "Sanjivini Eco Solutions Pvt. Ltd" founded by a few young farmers and well-wishers to enable a virtually direct connection between farmers and consumers. Using this platform, farmers can sell their products directly to consumers online with necessary support from the platform providers.
Currently, a major share of farmers’ product prices goes to a long supply chain, leaving farmers with very little profit. During this process, products lose freshness and may get processed or adulterated. Our IT platform shortens the supply chain, reduces wastage, and ensures better prices for farmers and quality products for consumers. Through transparency, we aim to make producers accountable and trustworthy while promoting sustainable farming.
Details of farmers are clearly displayed to consumers, providing accountability and recognition for farmers. Consumers can review both products and producers.
The platform is designed to be self-sustaining by charging between 5–20% of the order amount based on the service requirements and product category.
